Entity Manager

The Entity Manager allows you to mark certain households and organizations (entities) as inactive. An inactive entity, including all the people and couples within that entity, no longer appears in searches or lists.. You cannot communicate with anyone in an inactive entity or open a tab showing their profile. However, their gifts and grants still appear in gift reports, guest stays still appear in guest reports, and so forth.. Inactivating an entity is a good alternative to deleting since transactions still appear in reports.

If you have marked an entity as inactive, you can at any time reactive them.

To mark an entity as inactive, do the following steps:

  1. Open Administration from the Hello menu.
  2. Open the Entity Manager tab (on the far right).
  3. Select Active Households/Orgs.
  4. Use the Filter to find the entity you wish to mark as inactive. You can use the filter to identify a list of entities to inactivate as a group if you wish.
  5. Select the entities to inactivate by clicking on the check box by each name.
  6. Click on the Make Inactive button.
  7. Confirm that you wish to make these entities inactive.
