Bio Giving Summary Tab

The Bio Giving Summary Tab includes giving totals and charts for the household or organization. There are two sub tabs: Analytics and Giving Totals.

Note that you may need to refresh the tab after you add, change or delete a gift to display the newly calculated totals. Click on the double arrow refresh icon at the top of the tab.

Analytics Sub Tab

The Analytics sub tab displays a series of charts showing the history of giving for this household or organization.

Gift Total Chart

This total includes all gifts, dues, sales, pledges and grants. Pledge write-off amounts are subtracted. Soft credit gifts are included. The amounts and dates that appear in the box below the chart apply to the gifts that are included in calculating this total.

Total Giving Chart

This total is calculated based on how you chose to define Total Giving under Client Defaults in Admin. The amounts and dates that appear in the box below the chart apply to the gifts that are included in calculating this total.

Gift Total Monthly Cumulative

This chart compares this year's gift total with last year's on a monthly cumulative basis. This total includes all gifts, dues, sales, pledges and grants. Pledge write-off amounts are subtracted. Soft credit gifts are included. The box below the chart compares this year's with last year's amount, count, and average, largest and last gifts. These are based on the gifts included in the gift totals.

Total Giving Monthly Cumulative

This chart compares this year's total giving with last year's on a monthly cumulative basis. This total is calculated based on how you chose to define Total Giving under Client Defaults in Admin. The box below the chart compares this year's with last year's amount, count, and average, largest and last gifts. These are based on the gifts included in the total giving calculation.

Giving Totals Sub Tab

The Giving Totals sub tab allows you to view totals for the entire household or organization and totals for each couple or individual within the household or organization.

The fields on this tab are as follows:

  1. Gift Total - total gifts, dues, sales, pledges and grants. Pledge write-off amounts are subtracted. Soft credit gifts are not included.
  2. YTD Gift Total - gifts, dues, sales, pledges and grants with a gift date in the current fiscal year. Pledge write-off amounts are subtracted. Soft credit gifts are not included.
  3. Last Year Gift Total - gifts, dues, sales, pledges and grants with a gift date in the prior fiscal year. Pledge write-off amounts are subtracted. Soft credit gifts are not included.
  4. Total Giving - total giving based on how you chose to define Total Giving under Client Defaults in Admin.
  5. YTD Total Giving - total giving based on how you chose to define Total Giving under Client Defaults in Admin for gifts with gift dates in the current fiscal year.
  6. Last Year Total Giving - total giving based on how you chose to define Total Giving under Client Defaults in Admin for gifts with gift dates in the prior fiscal year.
  7. Gift Total Count - total number of gifts, dues, sales, pledges and grants. Soft credit gifts are not included.
  8. YTD Gift Total Count - total number of gifts, dues, sales, pledges and grants with a gift date in the current fiscal year. Soft credit gifts are not included.
  9. First Gift Amount - the amount of the first gift, dues, sale, pledge or grant from this donor. Soft credit gifts are not included.
  10. First Gift Date - the date of the first gift, dues, sale, pledge or grant from this donor. Soft credit gifts are not included.
  11. Last Gift Amount - the amount of the most recent gift, dues, sale, pledge or grant from this donor. Soft credit gifts are not included.
  12. Last Gift Date - the date of the most recent gift, dues, sale, pledge or grant from this donor. Soft credit gifts are not included.
  13. Largest Gift Amount - the amount of the largest gift, dues, sale, pledge or grant from this donor. Soft credit gifts are not included.
  14. Largest Gift Date - the date of the largest gift, dues, sale, pledge or grant from this donor. Soft credit gifts are not included.
  15. User defined totals and counts - the last column on this tab shows user defined gift totals and counts that you have defined on the Codes tab of Admin.
