Setting up Solicitors
Solicitors are volunteers who help with cultivating and soliciting prospects and donors. All of your solicitors must have Bio records in ExceedFurther. They can be part of a Household or an Organization. To mark someone as a solicitor, simply check the Is Solicitor check box on the person's bio record when you are adding or editing their name within their household or organization.
Once you have marked those who might be solicitors, you can add them at several levels:
- Bio Solicitors - added as an attribute at the Household and Organization level. The solicitor name or names appear along with other attributes of the household or organization on the Profile tab. The solicitor at this level is the overall volunteer contact for the prospect or donor. You can add more than one solicitor to a household or organization.
- Gift Solicitors - added to an individual gift. This name should be the person or persons primarily responsible for acquiring this gift. It does not have to be the same as the Bio solicitor. You can select more than one solicitor name for each gift.
- Campaign Solicitors - add to a campaign prospect. You must own the Campaign Module to manage solicitors at this level. The assigned name or names should be primarily responsible for cultivating and soliciting the prospect for this particular campaign. Not all solicitors are automatically assigned to all campaigns. To assign certain solicitors to a campaign, use the Solicitors/Teams tab of the Campaign Manager.
