Family Room iPad App Overview
The Family Room iPad App allows families using your family room to check themselves in and out of the room. The information transfers directly from the iPad into the Family Room module in ExceedFurther.
You register each iPad through the Family Room Module in ExceedFurther. This creates a link between the iPad App and the Family Room data so that families can create their own Registration Cards and check in and out each time they come. Before you use the App, you'll need to download the App and synchronize with ExceedFurther, described below. You will also need to set up the App so the screens appear the way you would like them.
Getting Started with the Family Room iPad App
The Family Room App is available directly from the App Store. Follow these steps to download the App onto your iPad:
- Open the App Store on your iPad.
- Search for "Beyond Family Room".
- Download the app to the iPad.
Once the iPad App has been downloaded, it needs to synchronized with the Family Room module in ExceedFurther. To do this, you will need the iPad serial number. This can be found under Settings/About.
To synchronize the iPad and ExceedFurther, follow these steps:
- Open the Family Room module in ExceedFurther.
- Open the Admin tab.
- Click on Family Room Tablets in the list on the left.
- This displays a list of registered iPads.
- Click on the + sign to add a new iPad.
- Enter the serial number for the iPad.
- Create a name for this iPad to help distinguish it from other iPads in case you need to remove it from the list.
- Create a 4-digit pin for this iPad. This is used to allow you to configure the App on the iPad.
- Check the Is Active box.
- Click on Save.
- Open the App on your iPad.
- You need to link it to ExceedFurther by entering the following:
- Protocol = https
- Address = fam-r.arreva.com
You are now ready to set up the iPad App.
