Credit Card Transactions

Credit cards can be used to process a single gift or guest payment, or they can be used to set up a recurring gift. Before processing a credit card transaction, you need to set up an account with your preferred credit card processor.

To process a single transaction, do the following:

1. Add a gift or guest payment, selecting Credit Card as the Method.
2. After entering all of the details about the gift or payment, click on Save.
3. From the list of available credit cards for this person, select the one to use.
4. If the credit card you wish to use is not there, click on the + button at the top of the credit card list and fill in the details.
5. To process the card immediately, click on Process.
6. If you plan to process, or have already processed, the transaction by calling it in or using some other method outside of ExceedFurther, click on Process Manually. This creates a gift record without running the card.
7. After you have processed the card, you are returned to the gift or payment entry screen where you can add any additional details.

NOTE: only the last four digits of the credit card number are saved. YOU SHOULD NOT ENTER A CREDIT CARD NUMBER INTO NOTES OR ANY OTHER FIELD IN ExceedFurther EXCEPT WHERE PROMPTED WHEN PROCESSING A GIFT OR PAYMENT.
