Pledge Manager

The Pledge Manager tab lists all of your pledges and shows their associated schedules and payments. You can select only pledges with an upcoming payment due in a specific date range by selecting the date range from the Show Only list and clicking on Go.

You can configure the list of pledges to show only those columns you wish to see and change the sort order and number of records listed by using the configuration features of the list.

When you select a pledge from the top list, the associated payment schedule appears below. This payment schedule is determined when you add a new pledge and can be edited from this screen if you need to make changes to it.

The Pledge Manager includes the following buttons:

  1. Add Pledge - this opens the Add Gift screen where you can look up a donor name and add a new pledge and payment schedule.
  2. Add Payment - this opens the Add Gift screen with the donor of the selected pledge already filled in. Add the details of the pledge payment and indicate which payment schedule this payment should be allocated to.
  3. Edit Pledge - this allows you to make changes to the selected pledge from the list.
  4. Edit Pledge Schedule - this opens a screen listing the payment schedule for the selected pledge. From here you can makes changes or additions to the scheduled payments.
  5. Send Reminders - this opens the New Mailing screen so you can send pledge reminders for the pledges you have selected from the list. This creates pledge reminders for each pledge that is checked in the list.
  6. Write Off - this writes off the selected pledge or pledges.
    1. When you write off a pledge, you write off the entire remaining balance. If you wish to write off a portion of the remaining balance, you need to edit the pledge and change the pledge amount to the original amount less the amount you wish to write off. You also will need to edit the payment schedule to match the new pledge amount.
  7. Delete - this deletes the selected pledges and all of the associated schedules and payments.
    1. WARNING: a deleted pledge and its payments and schedules cannot be recovered.
