Constant Contact Interface Tab
The Constant Contact Interface tab is found under the Interfaces Navigator. It consists of three sub tabs:
Lists
The left side of the Lists sub tab displays a list of all of the email lists at Constant Contact that are associated with your Constant Contact account. If you click on one of the lists, you can see all of the names and email addresses that are part of that list. From this tab you can create new lists, add names and email addresses to existing lists and delete lists.
There are four buttons on this tab:
- New - create a new list name. This creates an empty list at Constant Contact.
- Send Local List - use one of your ExceedFurther lists to create a new list at Constant Contact or add names and email addresses to an existing list. To send a list of names and email addresses from ExceedFurther to Constant Contact, do the following:
- a. Using one of the Quick Lists from the People and Orgs navigator, create a list of names and email addresses.
- b. Open the Constant Contact Interface tab and log in to Constant Contact.

Contacts
This tab displays a list of all contact names and addresses at Constant Contact. Even if a name and address are on multiple lists at Constant Contact, the name appears only once in this list.
The overall status of this name is also available in the grid. You can use this status to make an email address as Do Not Mail or add a mailing tag.
NOTE: this list downloads only 500 names at a time from Constant Contact. Even though it says "Showing 1 to 500 of 500 entries", that does not mean that you only have 500 entries at Constant Contact. You can use the Get Next 500 Records to see each 500-name segment of your entire contact list.
The Contact tab includes five buttons. Note that the first two buttons make changes to the names and addresses stored at Constant Contact. The last two buttons make changes to the names and addresses stored in ExceedFurther.
- Edit - this allows you to update a specific name and email address in your Constant Contact list by following these steps:
- Select the contact from the list.
- Click on the Edit button.
- Make any changes to the name or email address.
- Click on Save.
- The name and email address are updated in all lists at Constant Contact.
- Note: the name and email address are not updated in ExceedFurther.
- Opt-Out - this will mark a name and email address at Constant Contact as opted out from all lists.
- Note: the name and email address in ExceedFurther is not marked as Do Not Email. Use the Do Not Email button to make changes to the contact in ExceedFurther.
- Get Next 500 Records - this downloads the next group of 500 names and addresses from Constant Contact.
- Add Email Tag - this allows you to select a group of contact names and add an ExceedFurther mailing tag to each one.
- Do Not Email- this allows you to select a group of contact names and email addresses and mark them as Do Not Email in ExceedFurther. Note that you can choose to either mark the email address itself or the entire household or organization.
Responses
When you send an email to a list of contacts through Constant Contact, Constant Contact keeps track of the results. You may wish to update your records in ExceedFurther based on these responses.
The Responses tab shows a list of your Constant Contact Campaigns. A Campaign is a mailing defined through Constant Contact.
Note: only 10 campaigns are downloaded at a time. Use the Get Next 10 Records to see the next 10 campaigns.
For each Campaign in the list, you can see how the recipients responded to the mailing. For each response, you can see a count of recipients. By clicking on the count, you can open a new window that displays a list of contacts and allows you to update your ExceedFurther records as follows:
