Bio Members Tab
The Bio Members tab contains information about all of the memberships and the associated details that have been added to any names in the household or organization.
The Bio Members tab has two sub tabs: Memberships and Transaction History
Memberships Tab
The list at the top of the Memberships tab contains each membership. You can customize this list by using the gear to change the columns that are displayed and by clicking on the column headers to change the sort order that the memberships appear in.
A membership can be belong to the entire household or organization or it can be attached to a single name (person or couple). You can also add additional names to a membership. As you select a membership from the list, the names of the members who are part of this membership appear below. Note that member names associated with a membership do not have to come from the same household or organization as the membership. For example, you may allow someone to purchase a membership and include her grandchildren as members.
If you wish to see memberships that are associated with a particular name within the household or organization rather than all memberships, select Show Only above the list of memberships and select the name whose memberships you wish to view.
The Memberships tab has the following buttons:
- Add - to add a new membership. This takes you to Step 1 of the Membership update screen. You do not have to go through the search since you have come from a household or organization record where it is assumed that the membership will belong.
- Edit - to make changes to the selected membership. This takes you to Step 2 of the Membership update screen.
- Renew - to add a renewal, including a dues payment, to the membership. The fields you enter are the same as Step 5 of the Membership update screen.
- Make Active - to change the status of a selected membership from Dropped to Active.
- Print Membership Card - to print membership cards for each member name associated with the selected membership. Membership cards are designed on the Card sub tab of the Membership tab of the Admin tab.
- Drop - to change the selected membership status to Dropped.
- Delete - to delete this membership.
Transaction History Tab
The list at the top of the Transaction History tab contains all transactions associated with any membership attached to this household or organization. You can customize this list by using the gear to change the columns that are displayed and by clicking on the column headers to change the sort order that the transactions appear in.
If you wish to see transactions that are associated with a particular name within the household or organization rather than all transactions, select Show Only above the list of transactions and select the name whose transactions you wish to view.
The transactions that appear in this list are the result of actions you have taken elsewhere: adding a new membership, adding a dues payment, dropping a membership, or reactivating it. As you select a transaction, you can see the details in the area below the list.
The Transaction History tab has one button:
- Delete - to delete this transaction from the transaction history. Note that deleting the transaction history entry does not undo the transaction itself. It simply removes it from this list.
