Room Cleaning

ExceedFurther keeps track of the current status of cleaning for each room in the house. The cleaning status for each room is set to Yes or No. A room's cleaning status is automatically set to No when the room is occupied by a guest. It is set to Yes when you use the Cleaning Status screen to check off the rooms that have been cleaned.

You can set an optional warning when you assign a guest to a room that is not marked as clean.

To use the Room Cleaning feature, do the following:

  1. From the Guest Manager Room Manager tab, click on the Cleaning Status button.
  2. Select a location from the list at the top.
    1. The current week is displayed, showing the cleaning status of each room on each day.
  3. For each room that is currently clean today, check the box in the list for today for that room.
    1. Note that once you mark a room as clean, the check boxes are automatically filled in for that room for the rest of the week. Once a guest is added to that room, however, the check boxes for the rest of the week are automatically unchecked.
  4. Close the screen to return to the Room Manager tab.
  5. Note that the cleaning status appears for each room in a column next to the room's description.
  6. Run a Room Cleaning Status Report to provide a list of rooms that need to be cleaned to the cleaning staff.
  7. As you know that each room has been cleaned, use steps 1 - 3 above to mark the rooms that have been cleaned and are ready for occupancy.
