Constant Contact Interface Overview

Although you can send a group of email messages directly from within ExceedFurther, this method is not recommended for sending large numbers of emails, such as your newsletter, on a regular basis. The email functionality in ExceedFurther is intended for small batches, perhaps no more than 50 emails at a time. In addition, there are no automatic opt out features in ExceedFurther.

For large batches of email you should be using a bulk email provider, such as Constant Contact or Vertical Response. To make it easy to build your email lists and keep your donors' email preferences up to date, Exceed Beyond includes an interface to both of these products.

Constant Contact is a company that provides email marketing services. If you have an account with Constant Contact, you can create lists from your ExceedFurther names and send them directly to create email lists in Constant Contact. You can also view the results of email campaigns and update your ExceedFurther names with mailing tags and Do Not Email indicators where needed.

Getting Started with the Constant Contact Interface

Before using the Constant Contact Interface, you need to establish an account with Constant Contact. When you open the Constant Contact Interface in ExceedFurther, you are asked for your Constant Contact user name and password.

If you have been using Constant Contact as your email provider, you will see all of your email lists from the ExceedFurther interface. You can use the responses to your email campaigns to update mailing tags and Do Not Mail markers in ExceedFurther. You can also create new Constant Contact lists from your ExceedFurther email lists.

If you have not been using Constant Contact but would like to begin, you can export a list of names and email addresses from ExceedFurther into a list in Constant Contact. You can then use the responses to update mailing tags and Do Not Mail markers for those addresses.

Use the Constant Contact Interface Tab to accomplish these tasks.
