Favorite Reports

When you run a report, you first select choices from a number of parameters for that report. If you wish to run the report in the future, using the same parameters, you can save it as a favorite report. Saved reports appear in the Reports Navigator under Favorites.

Once you have saved a report as a favorite, you can go directly to the Favorites Navigator to run the report. You can also create a schedule so that the report is run automatically and the results are emailed automatically to you and others you specify.

To create a favorite report, do the following:

  1. Open the Reports Navigator and select the report category for the report you wish to save as a favorite.
  2. Locate the report from the list of reports and fill in all of the parameters.
  3. Preview the report to ensure that it is set up the way you wish.
    1. Remember that when you run the report in the future, it will use the parameters exactly as you set them up. For dates, you should avoid entering actual dates, but rather select a choice like "Today" or "This Calendar Year" so that the report will select current dates when it runs in the future.
  4. At the end of the report parameters, click on the Save button.
  5. Fill in a name for the report and a description to help you remember how you set up the report.
  6. If the report is only for your use, select Private under List View.
  7. If you wish to share the report with others, select Public under List View and select the other users who should have access to the report. For each user who should have access, select either "View" or "Edit", depending on whether you want them to be able to make changes to the parameters for the saved report.
  8. Click on Save.
  9. If you wish to schedule this report to run automatically, click on Schedule Report to set up the schedule.
