Bio Gift Tab
The Bio Gift tab displays a list of all of the gifts of any type that have been received from the household or organization. You can customize this list by using the gear to change the columns that are displayed and by clicking on the column headers to change the sort order that the gifts appear in.
You can narrow or expand the number of gifts to display in the list by choosing a date range from the Gift Date filter drop down list. You can also choose to display any soft credits associated with this household or organization by clicking on the Include Soft Credits check box.
As you select a gift from the list, the details display below.
If you wish to see gifts that have come from a particular name within the household or organization rather than all gifts, select Show Only above the list of gifts and select the name whose gifts you wish to view.
Above the list of gifts is a box showing total giving and the date and amount of the largest, first and last gift from the household or organization. These are for the entire household or organization and do not change if you select an individual name to show.
If you have added a Relationship of "Same" to an individual in a different household or organization, that person's gifts appear in the grid highlighted in green.
This tab includes the following buttons:
- Add - to add a new gift.
- Edit - to make changes to the selected gift.
- Thank - to create an acknowledgment letter for this gift, using the New Mailing screen.
- Delete - to delete this gift from the giving history.
- WARNING: a deleted gift cannot be recovered.
- Add Same - to add an identical gift to this Bio record. You must first select the gift to duplicate. The Add Gift screen appears with all the fields already filled in from the gift you selected to duplicate. You can make any changes, for example the gift date, before saving. This is useful if a donor makes the same gift each month or year.
- Print Summary Gift List - to create a report showing gift totals for this donor for the past 5 years.
If you have selected a pledge, the following additional buttons are available:
- Write Off - to write off the remaining balance on a pledge. This button appears only if you have selected a pledge from the list of gifts.
- When you write off a pledge, you write off the entire remaining balance. If you wish to write off a portion of the remaining balance, you need to edit the pledge and change the pledge amount to the original amount less the amount you wish to write off. You also will need to edit the payment schedule to match the new pledge amount.
- Edit Pledge Schedule - to make changes to the dates and amounts expected for payments on the selected pledge.
- Print Pledge Details - to create a PDF showing schedule and payment details for the selected pledge.
- View Pledge Details - to show schedule and payment details for the selected pledge in a pop-up window.
If you wish to view pledges and payments grouped together by pledge, include the Pledge # in your field list for the grid. Then you can sort by Pledge # to see pledges with their associated payments listed together. The Pledge # also becomes a link. To view pledge details, click on the Pledge # link in the list.

Two additional buttons are available above the list of gifts:
- Outstanding Pledge Balance - to view the total outstanding balance on all pledges.
- View Recurring Gifts - to show a list of recurring gifts for this donor.
