Task List/Tickler

The Task List/Tickler appears on the Home Page. This displays the activities that have been added to names and helps you stay on top of your assigned tasks.

You have the following options for what activities to display:

  1. Date range - select the type of tickler calendar to display:
    1. Daily - select Daily to display the tasks with a scheduled date that matches the date selected.
    2. Weekly - select Weekly to display the tasks with a scheduled date that falls within the week selected.
  2. Date selector - select the range of dates to display
    1. Right arrow - advance by one day or week.  
    2. Left arrow - go back by a day or a week.
    3. Click on the date itself - bring up a calendar for selecting any date. If you are viewing a week, the date range always goes from Monday through Sunday.
  3. Activities - select the activities you wish to view:
    1. My - activities that have been assigned to you.
    2. I Created - activities that you entered.
    3. All - all activities created and/or assigned to everyone. This may be limited, depending on what viewing rights you have been assigned.
  4. Show - select the status of activities to view:
    1. Open - activities that have not yet been completed (the completed date is empty)
    2. Closed - activities that have been completed (the completed date is filled in)
    3. All - both open and closed activities.

From each task displayed on the task list  you can do the following:

  1. Click on the contact name to open the Bio record for that name. It opens on the Profile tab so you can have a quick view of the household or organization.
  2. Click on the email address to send an email to the contact name. This brings up your preferred email client, and you can type and send an email directly from here.
  3. Click on the title of the activity to make changes, such as filling in the Completed date and adding notes. The fields that appear are the same as the fields on the Add Activity screen.
