Bio Overview

ExceedFurther can store a tremendous amount of information about a person, a couple, a household or an organization. This includes an unlimited number of addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, gifts, event attendance, mailings received, membership renewals, and so on. All of this information can be found within the Bio tab.

People are organized into households or organizations. Even a single person is part of a household. The Bio tab for a household or organization includes all of the people within that household or organization.

People within a household can be joined into couples and identified that way, and each individual person can also be tracked separately if needed. In each household, one person or couple is designated as the preferred name, and that name is used to identify the household.

Whenever you look up a name using the search feature or drill down on a name in a list, the full set of information about that name and its associated household or organization opens in a new Bio tab. The name of the household, or organization if the person is a contact at an organization, appears on the tab.

The Bio tab is also where you make any changes to names, addresses, phones, emails, or attributes attached to households and organizations.

The Bio tab includes a number of subtabs. Exactly what subtabs appear depends on what features of ExceedFurther your organization is using. All versions include the following:

  1. Profile - a complete summary picture of the household or organization, all on one page, including names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, activities, relationships, and gifts. Memberships, campaign activity, event attendance, volunteer sessions, grants, and guest visits may be included.
  2. Journal View - a list of all activity, including gifts received, mailings sent, activities scheduled, and so forth. The Journal View appears in the same subtab as the Profile. It is accessible via a "View Journal" button.
  3. Activity - meetings scheduled, mailings sent, reminders to call, and any other activity you may wish to record about each person or couple in the household or organization.
  4. Gift - all gifts, pledges, dues and sales associated with anyone in the household or organization.
  5. Giving Summary - giving totals and gift counts for the household or organization, along with charts showing activity over time.
  6. Relationship - any links between the household or organization and other households and organizations in the system.
  7. Member - a list of all memberships held by the people or couples within this household or organization, along with a history of their dues payments.
  8. Notes - a list of all notes about the people or couples within the household or organization. Notes can be added also on the Bio Overview on the Profile Tab and with individual names.

In addition, depending on your version, you may have the following subtabs:

  1. Rating - ratings supplied by WealthEngine or DonorSearch prospect rating services.
  2. Campaign - a list of campaigns and the current status of the household vis-a-vis each campaign.
